It causes sharp pain in the costosternal joint — where your ribs and breastbone are joined by rubbery cartilage. Pain caused by costochondritis may mimic that of a heart attack or other heart conditions.

on the plus side, for 10 years i thought i have had heart issues. then my doctor told me that i have a perfectly fine heart!!
..oh but a rare medical disease.. did i mention that?

indeed, but there was a bit of let down at the same time... like traveling to the end of the world and realizing that there's nothing there.
